NFL Wild-Card Picks

It's playoff time. Does it get any better than this? Actually, yes; next week the really good teams will be playing. A 3-2 week ends the regular season at 50-44-7. If had bet these games, at these spreads, in a Vegas sportsbook, I would have risked $1,111 to win $18. I better keep the day job. I will keep making picks, though value gets harder to find with fewer games.

Kansas City at Indianapolis under 51 points: This number is a bit high, because the Chiefs do not score points in bunches.

Philadelphia -7 vs. New York Giants: The Eagles are hotter than the sun, while the Giants are colder than the depths of interstellar space. Don't get me wrong--the G-men will hang tough into the third quarter before Philly pulls away. Because of this, I also like the over 45.5 points total.
